In his article, "The Killer Who Supports Gun Control," Nicholas Kristof argues that the best solution to stop mass killings would be to put control on gun violence. He supports his argument by using an opinion from a killer , John Lennon, who states that  ,"without a gun, I would not have killed.” The purpose of this article was to convince people that with more control on guns then there will be less violence because  guns are primarily used for killings, since they ensure that the person will be killed. The audience would be those who are involved in the matter of gun violence.

Over the past couple of years, there has been a numerous amount of violent crimes including some of the U.S deadliest shootings.             In the article Why Mass Shootings Keep Happening by Tom Junod, he argues that mass shootings can not be stopped. Junod firsts implements his position on mass shootings by stating a set of rhetorical questions; then he uses imagery by providing an example of what goes through the mind of a person who commits the gun crime; lastly, he gets the audience thinking about how a shooting can be stopped by using a series of repetition. The purpose of Junod writing this article is to analyze if it is possible to stop mass shootings in order to show that guns are not the problem, people are. His intended audience are gun  violence activists so they understand that trying to take away guns wont solve anything only because it is the people doing the killing.

" Young Palestinian woman shot by Israeli forces dies "
                        (Patrick Strickland, September 22, 2015)

On Tuesday, a Palestinian girl was shot multiple times by Israeli forces because she supposedly attempted to stab a soldier. However, citizens watching believe that she was in fact not holding a knife and only had her school satchel. The brutality of these Israel soldiers is also shown in a video in which the soldiers are seen laughing at the girl and preventing paramedic from helping her. What is worse is that before a young man was killed because he tried taking an explosive device to the military vehicle but it went off on him
