Since 1991, there has been a decline in violent crimes , yet the number of mass shootings habe risen since 2007. More than half of these crimes commited involve the use of of guns. Over the oast couple of years, there has been a numerous amount of violent crimes including some of the U.S deadliest shootings. Researxhers are trying to find the connection between the access of guns and homicide rates. The reoccurrence of these violent crimes continue  to encourage policy makers to take  a stand to stop mass violence
